I am travelling from overseas, what do I do? 

We understand the concerns around pre-booked travel, and our support team is here to help. If your booking is impacted due to Government issued COVID-19 travel restrictions, please contact our team on 0800 555 696 or email support@mighway.com to discuss your situation.

I would like to hire a campervan in New Zealand, but I am uncertain about how Covid-19 may impact my travel. 


It is great to see so many wanting to travel, however, we do understand that there may be reservations around hiring a campervan. To offer peace of mind, Mighway has introduced a COVID-19 cancellation policy. Please find our COVID-19 policy below.  

 

I booked my trip recently and can't decide if I should still go. 


Before you travel, we recommend that you stay up-to-date with the latest advice issued by the Government. This information should help you make informed decisions about travelling, and if it is safe to do so. Please refer to the latesNew Zealand Government advice and Australian Government advice. Please be aware that if you decide to cancel your trip for any reason other than COVID-related, governmentally imposed travel restrictions, our normal Terms & Conditions will apply to refunds and change of booking dates.

What do I do if I display symptoms after travelling? 


If you are feeling unwell and you are displaying COVID-19 symptoms, please seek medical advice immediately. We ask that you advise the vehicle owner and a Mighway team member as soon as possible. You can contact us on 0800 555 696 or email support@mighway.com

Mighway COVID-19 Travel Policy 


Change your travel dates free of charge

Enjoy peace of mind when you book your next campervan hire with our free of charge date change. If your booking is impacted by Government issued travel restrictions, or if you/those travelling with you test positive for COVID-19, Mighway will allow you to change your booking dates free of charge.

Please note: Date change is subject to vehicle availability, owner approval and you will need to pay any difference in the daily rental rate. Bookings are non-transferable, and normal cancellation fees will apply should you cancel your booking without Government travel restrictions in place. If would like to change your travel dates due to testing positive for COVID-19, Mighway will require proof of your/your travel companions’ test result before approving any date changes.


Free Cancellation

We understand that trip-planning is more complicated than usual. So, if your travel is impacted by Government issued COVID-19 travel restrictions, you have the option to change your dates free of charge or you can cancel your booking and receive a refund in full.

Free cancellation is only valid for booking requests from 09 April 2021, and for bookings where you are not permitted to travel due to Government issued Covid-19 travel restrictions. Bookings are non-transferable, and normal cancellation fees will apply should you cancel your booking outside of Government issued Covid-19 travel restrictions. Free cancellation does not apply if you/those you are travelling with contract COVID-19. Failure to comply with Government issued COVID-19 requirements is at your own risk, and normal cancellation fees will apply.

To learn about local travel restrictions, we ask that you please stay up-to-date with the latest information provided by Government officials, and we also encourage you to use a travel insurance provider that may offer some cover for expenses incurred related to COVID-19.
